Literacy, and professional skills, along with numeracy, are three NTC examination papers to be completed within the specified timeframes as specified by the leadership of the National Teaching Council. The National Teaching Council is mandated by the Education Act 2008 (Act 778) Section 9 to enhance the professionalism and status of teachers as well as to register and license educators in Ghana. Candidates who are new to the exam are required to shell out GHS220 and those who have re-site are required to shell out GHS220 in order to sit for the three examinations and GHS100 for each paper. National Technology Council (NTC) Registration 2024
Teachers who have at least a Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) or of Education (B. Ed.) of Education (B. Ed) or the Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PDGE) and are in the process of working for Ghana Education Service but could not attend the first Licensure Examination in September 2024 applicants must apply for the examination.

Teachers who attempted the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination in 2024 but failed on one or three or more papers must sign up to take the exam again that they failed to pass. - Fresh Candidates are required to pay Gh350.00 to register for the exams.
- Candidates who are to resit for 2 papers are to pay Gh300.00 for the exams.
- Candidates who are to resit for 1 paper are to pay Gh150 for the exams.
- Candidates who are to resit for all papers are to pay Gh350.00
- Upon payment at the bank (Any Prudential Bank Branches Nationwide) are to provide his or her name, index number from the institution (College or University), and ID card would be taken.
