If you want to take admitted to the MBBS or BDS programs in the medical colleges in Punjab, they are mandatory to at least pass the University of Health Sciences MDCAT exam successfully as a minimum admission requirement.

MDCAT is designed by UHS Lahore for those candidates who wish to go into the field of bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or want to opt for a Bachelor of dental surgery (BDS). As per the UHS Rule, Without taking the MDCAT Entry test, aspirants’ admission applications for the medical & dental college seats are rejected altogether.

The process of submission of the Admission form to Medical and Dental Institutions of Punjab for Session 2024 shall begin from 19th July to 29th July 2024. As per schedule, UHS Lahore is ready to conduct the entrance test for admissions to MBBS/BDS programs on Sunday 27th August 2024 August.
MDCAT Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a domicile in the province of Punjab, Pakistan.
- Candidates should obtain 60% marks in their intermediate or equivalent to appear in UHS MDCAT.
- Aspirants from Islamabad Capital Territory and Gilgit Baltistan are also eligible to appear in the UHS MDCAT exam.
- Overseas, Foreign and dual nationality holders can also apply for admission to the medical and dental colleges in Punjab, if they have passed the SAT-II aptitude exam.
